Thanks as always Todd. This is the one game I really wanted them to win, after knowing it was a lost season. The first period was great. Then the Devs looked like crap. Unfortunately Detroit and Kings looked even crappier.
This team needs an infusion of young talent. One top five pick this year is not gonna solve that. |

I wouldn't have minded a win if only to give Schneider the help he deserved. He played his ass off. |

Worth a chuckle or two.
Training camp is six months early this year... |

I’m optimistic that Cory will be a legit top goalie again. He’ll probably never have the same numbers but it’s partially because he will be behind a brutal D group playing Nesreddines system for the foreseeable future.
Gabriel’s decent numbers are just a statistical blip and are meaningless. He is what he is. |

Excellent point my man. Now can we interest you in a Vatanan for Draisaiti or a Severson for McDavid trade? |

We are the 4th worst team in the league and 1 point ahead of the 3rd and 2nd worst team. Right now this team is ass. Which has nothing to do with Larsson or Hall at this point but wow is it ugly. |

According to my calculations (*) we'd currently be battling the Islanders for 7th place overall in the league if we had Adam Larsson.
(*) calculations based on delusional thinking, heavy drinking and pure made up conjecture mixed with bull poop. (Similar to the rest of my posts). |

The Hall for Larsson trade doesn't matter at this point: it's trading a right arm for a left foot... the arm is more of the body than a foot is, but the Devils are still crippled and Shero still hasn't found a good replacement foot.

Eh, #1, Nico, Bratt, Smith, Blackwood, and some of these kids aren't all that bad on the 3rd line. We'll pretty much have 2 top line players in this year's pick and Nico that are both talented and young. Bratt is a 2nd line winger and young. Hall and Palmieri are still mid 20s and they're top 6. This year's pick is important. I agree 1 more would be nice, but not imperative. |

Todd Cordell: Rangers 4, Devils 2: Offensive woes continue as losing streak reaches six - Todd.Cordell
Agree 100% with this Todd. Good news is we are getting a decent picture of what our mid 20's players are worth going forward. Noesen, Lappin, Rooney, Agostino, Gabriel, Pietila have all proven to be fringe NHL'ers and at 25-27 years of age, are not likely to make any major developement. I would not be disappointed if all those players walked in this offseason. Bottom 6 forwards like Seney, Wood, Bratt, Anderson, Zacha, Mcleod, Studenic, Quennville all possess the ability to be great bottom 6 forwards with high ceilings and age on their side.
Assuming we re-sign Mojo this offseason, having Hall and him are a good top 2LW. Hischier is a top 2 C for certain, but Zajac is not and that is a big hole in this offense. Hopefully a guy like Hughes is a possibility for the Devs.
The only true #1 RW UFA was Stone, who has been taken off the market, however could make a cheap trade possible. Marchessault has 5 years remaining, but is slated as their 3rd RW behing Stone and Tuch. The knights are also 2.8M over next years salary cap with only 17 players signed, and RFA William Karlsson unsigned. I could see Marchessault being a quality #2 RW behind Palms for a solid RW pairing. March has 122 points in his 147 games with Vegas, outstanding for a 5M player. Something has to give in Vegas. If we part with a couple of our 2nd's, it could likely land us a top 6 forward. Kakko is not out of the picture either.
I like our young D-core these days. Excited to see White get some games in, and Smith is poised to be a top 4 D next season. They are young and all trending up.
Goaltending duo has also shown a ton of upside the second half of the season despite our results.
Also would not complain if we spent some of that massive cap space on Douchene/Dzingle/Panarin but those boys have alot of options, and competing suitors. |

No, it's trading a brick of gold for a brick of copper. It doesn't matter I can't do anything with a brick of gold right now but it's better than this pile of (frank)ing copper. |
